![]() Richard started working in theatre at Chicago's Court Theatre when Jimmy Carter was president. He went on to earn a B. A. in Theatre Arts at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine (returning 20 years later to replace the floor he learned to dance on) and launched his professional career internationally at the King's Head Theatre Club while studying in London. After another short stint in Chicago and a summer at the Theatre at Monmouth in Maine, he moved to Boston. For almost fifteen years, Richard was Technical Director / Production Manager at the Strand Theatre in Boston, where he supervised more than 350 professional and community events each year, as well as training programs and workshops for youth. Richard is a founding board member of the Boston Alliance of Theatre Artisans, a member of Boston Dance Alliance, and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Construction Supervisor.
